• Four computers are set up for public access, two have printers. All have access to the internet and the GSH Medical Library database subscriptions.

Databases

• GSH Medical Library subscribes to the online clinical information service MD Consult and evidence-based diagnostic database FIRST Consult. Our electronic journals are accessed through EbscoHost. The library webpage also includes access to GSH database subscription Micromedex and to the National Library of Medicine's PubMed.

Journals

• Current print subscriptions to Medical and Nursing journals are on display for in-house reading and photocopying. Researchers will find back issues of print journals for the previous five years. Current Journal Subscriptions
• Full-text access to our electronic journal subscriptions is available through EbscoHost.

Books

• Anyone who wishes to read current medical books will be directed to check the MD Consult database.
• Staff members may also show their badge and be allowed borrowing privileges at USC Norris Medical Library: http://www.usc.edu/hsc/nml/

Inter-Library Loans

• A copy of virtually any journal article or book may also be obtained through inter-library loan, simply make your request known to the Medical Librarian.

• The Medical Librarian is eager to assist with evidence-based medical information gathering and general literature searches.
• The Contact A Librarian capability on this website gives direct email access to the Medical Librarian for researchers to ask any questions they may have about the Library, or for help with specific research needs.
